Grief

It is so hard to have those moments arise…the moments in life where you go through extremely painful situations… situations that can take you by surprise. Trauma. Loss. Betrayal. Job loss. Death. The list is endless. We try our best to get through it one day at a time…hour by hour. These circumstances can keep us awake at night with despair, and it’s easy during these times to harden your heart towards God and place blame onto Him. But the reality is… there is an enemy who is attempting to steal your joy, your hope and your faith. But we cannot let the enemy win! God has a higher purpose for our life that we can use to help others (even when we cannot see or understand what is happening).

Seeking God’s heart through every trauma or disappointment will bring His ultimate GOOD to the surface in your life.

This week we loss a very special friend, Jarrid. He was not a friend we saw often, as we lived states away, but he was a friend who helped us walk through a time in our marriage when Adam came face to face with depression. Jarrid was our person, our person that gave our marriage HOPE. He was so gifted in his work and was very open about his own battle with depression. He was a warrior who fault his own depression battles daily and was very open about it. We are heartbroken and will miss having Jarrid here on this earth …but Jarrid is now on to eternity with our heavenly Father…where his pain and suffering are no more! Now, we grieve. There is no “right” formula or way to grieve. When you feel like crying, it’s ok to cry! If sharing stories and reminiscing makes you laugh, then do it!

God brings healing and restores peace.

God’s heart breaks for anyone dealing with grief. His heart sincerely breaks for the children and families affected… and to Juli, Finch and Denim….we grieve right there with you and our prayers are for YOU. No matter the situation, remember God has the ability to still work through it in a BIG way. We need to look up, cry out for help, and then take steps of faith, even when we don’t feel like it. Pour out your heart to God and share your deepest heartaches with Him.

John 16:33- I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

*Let us all remember that community is so important. You do not have to walk this earth alone.
