Blogging about your infertility journey was something I never thought I would enjoy. I’m not a writer, I always hated English and Literature, and I may not be a ‘perfect blogger’ but this is ME and if you have been following my blog…this is how I talk, text and write, lol. When we found out we were having surprise quintuplets…..so many people kept telling us “y’all should blog about your journey”. My first response was…ummmm no…im not a ‘good writer’. But man!! I am so glad we have created this blog for basically two reasons:
1) I love how I have a place to go capture our memories on how we have grown spiritually though all our struggles with infertility, to be able to go back and read what God has done in our lives. How many tears of joy it brings to me every time I type a post because it just shows how grateful I am what God has done for me..and us…and what He is continuing to do now.
2) I love how OUR story has reached thousands of people who have similar struggles and how so MANY woman have reached out to me with their infertility struggles. What a blessing to be a ‘mentor’ to so many women.
Well the purpose of this post is not so much about why I blog…but because I read this short article this morning and THOUGHT OF EVERY WOMAN who has reached out to me with their infertility issues. This article was so touching I had to share. This post is to THOSE WOMEN.
I know you ladies may have been praying and praying for weeks, months, and years to have a family….but reading this article “When God Makes You Wait” will hopefully bring some comfort to your heart. As I read it, it of course made me cry. Could God have answered your prayers much quicker, but didn’t? Of course! But He has decided to make you wait instead….why????
From the article:
He makes us wait for healing to come after we’ve been praying for years and there is no sign of recovery. He makes us wait to fulfill His call in our lives after He puts the desire and passion in our hearts to serve Him in a certain way.He makes us wait to give us the desires of our hearts. He makes us wait for direction when we are stuck at a dead end and we don’t know where to go or what to do.He could answer that same prayer that you’ve been praying for years every night in a millisecond. That same prayer that has been bringing you to tears. That same prayer that the longer that it goes unanswered, the more it makes you question whether He even hears.
Wherever you are at today know that God is right beside you and that there is a purpose for you. Even if that purpose is to wait. Don’t give up just because you don’t see anything happening today. Maybe there is nothing physically happening that your eyes can see but there is definitely something happening in the spiritual realm as you learn to rely on Christ. Don’t allow your waiting period to make you hopeless about what tomorrow will bring. Instead, let it build your faith and give you even greater hope for what God has prepared for you.
We are first hand experience in letting go and letting God to take over our hearts and allowing Him to guide us through our infertility journey. I continue to pray for all of YOU who are experiencing the same struggles….but you can overcome anything when God is guiding your path.Keep your head up and your heart open to God.
Happy Sunday.
XOXO
